This leading housing association operates across the South East of England, owning and managing over 20,000 homes.
Carbon3 was commissioned to install Solar PV and ASHP across 161 and 74 homes respectively. The project involved a 518.3kW Solar PV system and a 484kW ASHP system.
Access was arranged with tenants as all residences requiring renewable systems were occupied. Carbon3 made sure to keep disruption to a minimum, and the project was completed to program and PAS:2035 standards.
Feedback from tenants has been overwhelmingly positive, especially in homes that benefitted from both Solar PV and ASHP installs. Homes with Solar PV have benefitted from an average of £223.27 saving per year, and homes with ASHP have benefitted from an average cost saving of £550.98 per year.
When asked for feedback, one tenant had this to say:
“This has been such a lifestyle change and benefit to our family. We no longer have to worry about booking an oil delivery or increasing fuel prices. With the rising energy prices, we couldn’t afford to run all our appliances and heat our home so we would have to decide what we would prioritise – heating, cooking, or washing clothes. Now we don’t have that issue anymore and we’re even considering installing a battery to save our own surplus generated energy from the PV panels in summer.”
