Heat Pumps.
Upgrade your energy system with heat pumps.
Air source heat pumps (ASHPs) work by pulling heat from outside air, and can be effective in temperatures as low as -15 degrees. Using refrigerant technology, the air is warmed further deliver heat to radiators, underfloor heating and hot water systems.
Whether you’re building new properties or upgrading your existing portfolio, ASHPs offer an efficient, futureproof alternative to traditional heating.

Lower your running costs.
ASHPs are up to 300% more efficient than gas boilers. This means they can use less electricity to produce the same level of comfort. This reduces a business’s operational costs, minimises tenant complaints, and futureproofs your buildings against rising fuel prices.
For social housing clients, this means fewer residents in fuel poverty. For commercial and new build schemes, it means more efficient, sustainable buildings that meet environmental and ESG goals.

Cut carbon quicker than a fabric-first approach.
If your aim is to quickly cut carbon emissions, ASHPs have been proven to be more effective, and the Environmental Change Institute argues that heat pumps are the fastest option for achieving net zero.
Get closer to net zero by installing ASHPs and solar photovoltaic (PV) together. ASHPs can run solely from the energy created by solar PV. Doing so pushes down your bills and emissions even further.

Get peace of mind.
With fewer moving parts than a gas boiler, ASHPs are simpler to maintain and more reliable. Annual checks help keep your ASHPs running at their best. We offer operations and maintenance (O&M) contracts to give you full peace of mind post-installation.
As a Samsung Commissions Certified installer, we can offer up to 7 years’ manufacturer warranty on Samsung ASHPs. We also provide clear user training to minimise confusion and ensure the system is used efficiently.

Fund your project with government support.
We can help you secure government funding for your ASHP project, where applicable. At Carbon3 we’ve carried out many decarbonisation projects for social housing providers – take a look at our case studies. We know how to help you get the funding you need, from the Warm Homes: Social Housing Scheme (WH:SHF) to the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS).
Social housing tenants could be eligible for free renewable upgrades, including heat pumps, solar panels, and insulation through the ECO4 (Energy Company Obligation phase 4) scheme. Fully funded by energy companies, so housing providers and their tenants do not have to contribute to benefit from the ECO4 scheme.
