We’ve been working with one of the largest new build developers in the UK to supply homes on 16 sites across the UK with Solar PV panels.
The developer has also commissioned us to design, install and look after the ongoing maintenance of these systems.
In total, we have installed a 1,195.75kW system across 576 homes, providing an estimated £143.99 cost saving per home per year. Works were completed to schedule, before these homes were occupied, and were completed with minimal disruption to the developer’s site teams.
New build developers gain competitive advantages from installing Solar PV as they are providing cost savings for customers on their energy bills. As energy bills become more and more expensive, customers may choose their new homes on the basis of energy efficiency and low ongoing energy costs, both of which are provided in a new build home with Solar PV installed.
As part of our ongoing maintenance, all the systems installed have remote monitoring and smart meters, allowing Carbon3 to view the status and output of all systems and flag any that are not performing as normal. This means any repairs can be undertaken at minimal disruption to residents and outside of standard annual checkups.
The Solar systems installed to date provide CO2 savings of 259,174.50kg annually, which is a huge impact on the environment, and the developer can put these figures towards their ESG requirements.
