Public Sector.
If you’re looking for a way to cut down on operating costs, renewable energy is a great investment and does not always require an upfront cost.
We know that public sector companies are finding it harder and harder to carry out everyday operations with decreasing budgets.
Utilising renewable technologies, such as solar photovoltaic (PV), heat pumps, EV chargers, and battery storage, your organisation can save money and benefit the environment. At Carbon3 we have installed many systems for companies in the public sector, including hospitals, the military, leisure centres, and public transport.

Benefit from solar energy.
Now is the time to benefit from free energy generated by the sun, and captured by solar photovoltaic (PV) panels. Solar panels have never been as effective as they are now, so they can offset more of your operational costs while taking up less space.
Battery storage multiplies your cost savings gained from solar PV. You can store any unused solar energy, for use when it’s dark, grid blackouts occur, or during peak grid rate tariffs.
This means your organisation can be functional all the time, and reduces your operating costs further, so you can reinvest in what really matters.

Utilise unused carparks.
If you’ve already made the most use of your roof space, or your roofs are not suitable for solar, why not make some use of your underutilised carparks? We can build solar canopies or carports that shelter your guests or staff and their cars from the elements, while generating electricity.
Solar carports can also be linked with EV chargers. Your chargers will use the energy from the solar PV, lowering the cost of charging even further. Explore more about EV chargers here.

Create a revenue stream with EVCs.
Whether or not your EV chargers are linked to your solar panels, you can create a new revenue stream. You can set up your chargers to charge the public above what you pay for the energy. If your staff need to use the chargers, you can set a different price for this user group through our Carbon3 EV app.
The app lets you see how your chargers are working, what revenue they are bringing in, and gives you carbon offset reporting. Read more about the Carbon3 EV app here.

Take advantage of government funding.
By now you will have heard of the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS), but what is it all about? Salix is a government body, who administers funds for the government’s net zero mission, including the PSDS.
This scheme gives public sector businesses grants to change from a high-carbon to a low-carbon heating system. We can help you with your PSDS application, as you will need RIBA stage 3 detailed designs, which our in-house team can draw up, ready for your application.

Discover other funding options.
If you have exhausted government funding, or you want to explore other funding options, we can help. We work with trusted Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) partners, who will pay for the installation and sell you the energy back at a reduced rate compared to the grid. These funding partners are able to offer funding for system sizes ranging from 30kWp to over 2MWp.
Worried about where the money is going? You can choose to use our not-for-profit partners, where any money made from your system will go into a fund used to benefit the local community.

Procure our services easily.
If you are interested in procuring our services, we’ve made it easier than ever. You can direct award us a contract through many frameworks, including the NHS Decarbonisation of Estates, South East Consortium (SEC), Fusion21, ProcurePublic, and more.
You can feel safe knowing these framework providers have vetted us thoroughly, so you know we will carry out your install safely and efficiently.

Invest in renewables risk-free.
Your business is important to us, which is why we’re able to keep you operational every step of the way. Our engineers have plenty of experience working around operational businesses, we’ve even installed a system on a train station over live tracks!
We’ve also made sure our team are all DBS checked, as we care about the safety of the public and your employees. Health and safety is a key priority to us and we’ll carry out the installation of your system whilst holding ourselves to the highest standards.

Partner with a socially-conscious company.
So why is this all important? At Carbon3, our mission is to lead the transition to a sustainable future. Reducing carbon emissions benefits everyone, from reduced pollution in local communities, to reduced global warming and extreme weather events worldwide.
As a public sector organisation, you’re also subject to specific ESG reporting requirements, and reducing your carbon emissions by installing solar panels or low carbon heating such as ASHPs can help you meet these requirements.
