Get ahead of impending government regulations with renewable energy.
As we move towards the government’s 2050 net zero target, it is likely that further legislation will come into effect for newly built homes, such as the solar generation bill.
Stay ahead by switching to low carbon heating and installing solar panels, battery storage and electric vehicle chargers (EVCs) in your new build development.

Keep your buildings compliant.
You may find it easier to obtain planning permission with a higher BREEAM score. Local councils may have more specific planning conditions for sustainability, which renewable technologies can help you achieve cost-effectively. Part L regulations already require your buildings to be able to create 10% of their own electrical consumption, and some councils are asking for as much as 20%.
Part S of the Building regulations detail how new build developments (commercial and residential) must install at least one EV charger per residential dwelling, or two chargers per 10 parking spaces in commercial developments.
You’re future-proofing your developments too – no need to go back and do expensive retrofits if you are already compliant.

Make your homes more attractive to buyers.
Customers are more interested in renewable homes. Sustainable buildings attract investors, tenants, and buyers looking for lower running costs and environmental benefits.
If solar panels are fitted at build, you can integrate them into the roof for a more aesthetically pleasing design. As they are on the roof, they won’t compromise any internal space either. We offer GSE integrated frames with standard panels to keep your integrated panels more cost effective.
Electric vehicles have surged in popularity across the UK, driven by eco-conscious buyers and lower charging costs. The government plans to ban new petrol and diesel car sales by 2030, and all new cars and vans will need to be emission-free by 2035, further accelerating the shift to electric. This will increase the need for homebuyers to have EV chargers installed in their homes, in turn increasing the value of homes with EV chargers.

Avoid hassle with the support of our in-house design team.
Before build is the best opportunity to implement renewable technologies. Implementing heat pumps and EV chargers to run from solar energy at design stage will provide financial and environmental benefits for you and your customers.
With our in-house design team, we can support you with early stage design consultancy. We can assist with planning applications, coordination of roof services, or simply to check what fits on your roofs.
If you’re finding government regulations surrounding carbon emissions and renewable energy targets difficult to navigate, we can take the stress out of this for you by putting together a renewable energy model that fits regulatory requirements as well as your own project requirements.
Currently, there are no regulations for solar panels or air source heat pumps (ASHPs) on new build homes, but they are often a great way to meet your emissions targets and increase your BREEAM score.

Impress homebuyers with quality installations.
We know that you’re expecting a high-quality renewable solution to attract the next generation of eco-conscious homebuyers, and that’s why our Quality Supervisors regularly check in with our engineers during installations to keep everything on track.
